Born in Reykjavík, Iceland, Eva grew up in Vopnafjörður, a small fishing village in the east part of the country. She spent a few of her childhood summers on a farm in the South of Iceland, close to the infamous Eyjafjallajokull. As a kid she loved spending her time after school going down to the harbor with her friends, trying to catch a fish or two, collecting shells and stones shaped by the sea, swinging on old ropes from the boats and watching the power of the waves hit the shores, ice skating on the inner sea or walking the black beaches looking for treasures and hoping for a message in a bottle ...

Eva has been involved in art and design since her teenage years. She has taken part in workshops and attended numerous courses on related subjects in Iceland, Japan and Belgium. She has participated in exhibitions for the benefit of children and peace – e.g. at the UN in Geneva and for the NPO Graines de Paix.

In her professional life Eva has worked in the educational sector in Iceland as well as the non profit sector. Eva has curated exhibitions, done exhibition design as well as project management in connection to the arts

Eva, a devoted philanthropist, works regularly as a volunteer; writing, doing advisory and committee work as well as working in the field.
